How I Work
I specialize in anxiety and relationships and am a depth-oriented therapist. I welcome adults from diverse backgrounds and experiences and have expertise with spiritually minded, transgender, LGBTQ+, and creative communities. With therapy, we can work collaboratively to uncover your innate wisdom, cultivate fulfilling relationships, and increase your confidence and sense of belonging.
In our work together, I will strive to offer healing insight and perspective, supporting you to expand your comfort zone with a sense of safety. Together we will access hidden emotions and process them in your body, mind, and spirit, to enhance your experience of the fullness of life. Along with your conscious thoughts, our work can include mindfulness of sensations in the body, visualizations, and breathwork.
About Dr. Bigelow
Dr. Bigelow holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, as well as 15 years’ experience in clinical, research, and spiritual settings. His published research focuses on engaging in meditative inner dialogue with an expansive part of oneself—as well as the feelings of care, safety, and lightness such practices can offer. In addition, he conducts research on body relaxation, breathwork, and guided visualization exercises to improve mental health and well-being among therapy clients. Over a decade of personal daily meditation practice and spiritual study profoundly informs his life and work with clients. He is a Psychological Associate (PSB 94027195) working under the supervision of Dr. McDavitt.
Fees & Insurance
My full fee is $225 per 50 minute session, but I offer therapy on a sliding scale, so ask me about the possibility of a lower fee if needed due to economic limitations. I provide a monthly receipt for clients to submit to their insurance plan for reimbursement, if their plan covers out-of-network psychotherapy.
